El Australian Nick Kyrgios assured that after his victory in the second round of the Australian Open doubles junto a compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis on Croatians and main favorites Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic, the preparer and The Balkan coach threatened to start a fight for having inadvertently hit his pupils with a ball during the crash.
“Just to let you know, yesterday after making double mincemeat, the trainer and coach of our rivals proceeded with a threat. Tennis is a soft sport, all because I moved and hit them with a tennis ball.”, posted on his Twitter account.
For his part, the doubles Pavic, champion of the last Olympic Games and Wimbledon, denounced the disrespectful attitude of the brand new Kia Arena, in the same way that the Russian Daniil Medvedev (2) did after his victory in the second round against Kyrgios himself on the center court Rod Laver Arena.
So were the cries of “Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!” that outraged Medvedev in his match against Kyrgios
“They are very noisy. OrObviously they cheer for the Aussies but I’m sure the local tennis players wouldn’t mind if they showed more respect for their opponents.”, says the Croatian.
Medvedev, the main candidate for the title, sent a similar message after their last clash. “You should show more respect for Jim. What can’t be is that they make noise between the first and second serve,” argued the Muscovite after questioning the “IQ” of those who booed him between serve and serve
