A Müller farewell to FC Bayern could be imminent in the summer

According to current media reports, two clubs from the English Premier League, FC Everton and Newcastle United, are dealing with Thomas Müller. A farewell of the 32-year-old from the German record champions is currently hardly imaginable. However, as the “BILD Zeitung” reports, something could definitely happen in this regard in the summer.

Müller is the last remaining homegrown of the Munich generation from the Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Alaba, Badstuber & Co. generation. The attacking midfielder has been playing for FCB for more than 20 years and has been an integral part of the pros since 2009. Müller is THE Bayern veteran and has developed into the undisputed leader and top performer in recent years.

According to current reports, two England clubs, Everton and Newcastle United, are currently targeting the German international. As “BILD” football boss Christian Falk reports, a move to these two clubs in winter is definitely out of the question for Müller. In the summer, however, the situation could change.

“I’m not committed to this club”

Müller is contractually bound to FCB until 2023. Club boss Oliver Kahn only emphasized yesterday, Wednesday, that top performers like Müller will be put together in a timely manner to talk about his future. According to “SPORT1” information, the Munich team want to equip the 32-year-old with a new 2-year contract until 2025.

According to Falk, however, it cannot be ruled out that Müller will consider a change in the summer. Among other things, he refers to a statement by Müller in an interview with the British “Times” from the previous year, where he did not categorically rule out saying goodbye to the record champions: “I am not committed to this club. I’ve always loved this club. But if a situation arises where you have to make a decision, maybe play for another club, then that would be no shame and no problem at all.”

One thing is clear: A Müller farewell to FC Bayern is currently unimaginable. In addition, there is no reason why the original Bavarian should leave the club. Under Julian Nagelsmann this is set. In terms of sport, Müller also has ideal chances of winning further titles at FCB nationally and internationally. In addition, he is privately firmly rooted in Bavaria. In plain language, this means that for the 2014 world champion to seriously consider a change, a lot of points would have to come together. On the one hand, Müller would have to receive an attractive (sporting) offer from abroad that can reasonably keep up with Bayern. On the other hand, the contract talks with Munich would have to burst. Such a scenario currently seems very utopian.
