RIZZETTA ASCOLI – Matt Rizzetta, CEO of the North Six Group and partner of Ascoli, explained to Corriere dello Sport the reasons that led him to invest in a new project. These are his words: “It all started thanks to the feeling I had from the beginning with Massimo Pulcinelli. I was in Rome last May and through mutual friends I met him, we chatted in general and I got to know the man before the entrepreneur. I was persuaded both by the opportunity to represent a club with a history of over a hundred years, and by the idea of being able to write new pages of this history. Pulcinelli knows the Italian market and our group could represent one more weapon in the international market. The two aspects are very synergistic we are sharing a project without individualisms without ego. Indeed, there is the option of taking over the majority, an aspect that we are seriously evaluating, but for us the important thing is to share the company regardless of the shares. I am an entrepreneur and a sui generis person, I don’t normally like to follow the path of most. When everyone in America was passionate about NBA, baseball or football, I watched Serie A with grandfather Angelo. It is these memories that from childhood those memories that made me grow up with the ideals of life. In America I collaborate with a team that for me is a family, Daniela Mancinelli and Nicola Cirrincione above all who are very involved in the Ascoli project. We have recruited a group of heterogeneous investors, made up of important managers from the business world, from personalities from the world of sports, from financiers. But they are not passive investors, we have created a special project, 100% international. Money is certainly essential to be able to invest, but human resources have a higher value and I always surround myself with active people who believe in the project. Serie A dream of Ascoli? I will never be able to tell a Juventus fan not to dream, we all want to do it together with the square. We are doing well but the championship is very long, there are always surprises and who knows maybe it could be Ascoli. We have hired DS Valentini, we fully trust him. In January we are not afraid to spend and invest, but we will do it wisely, in an intelligent and pragmatic way. If Valentini tells us to invest to make a qualitative leap, we will rely on his advice, but with a long-term eye because our vision is multi-year, we are already thinking about the years to come “.
