Tyron Smith ruled out against Washington, and Dallas

This Friday the Cowboys released their third injury report heading into Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team. Unlike the last two, there were several news and casualties this time. Among them that of an offensive online headline.

According to this third report, Tyron Smith was ruled out for Sunday’s game. Recall that the offensive tackle suffered again from the ankle injury that took him out of action last November. Smith did not train this week with the Cowboys, for which his absence was more than certain. Therefore, it will take a little longer for the Pro Bowler to return to action.

Other updates have to do with safety Israel Mukuamu and cornerback Nahshon Wright, who did not practice Thursday. Both were on sick leave, and their absence Thursday was as a precaution. According to Friday’s report, Mukuamu did not train and is in doubt for Sunday. Wright, on the other hand, trained on a limited basis and has no designation on the report.

However, these are not the only news. The Cowboys included catcher Simi Fehoko and cornerback Jourdan Lewis on the COVID-19 list on Friday. With them, Dallas has five players within security protocols. The others are safety Malik Hooker and running back JaQuan Hardy, included this Wednesday, in addition to defensive tackle Trysten Hill.

These cases, remember, are joined by two members of the Dallas coaching staff: defensive line coach Aden Durde and special teams assistant Matt Daniels. For now, let’s hope the Cowboys do not add more casualties from COVID-19 in the next few hours.

Among other notes from the report, running back Tony Pollard participated fully in the day’s workouts. This is in addition to the news from fellow running back Corey Clement, who practiced normally Thursday after being limited due to a foot injury. Likewise, Ezekiel Elliott continues to train fully despite his knee discomfort. In this way, Dallas will be able to count on its three main running backs this Sunday.

Finally, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence trained on a limited basis. This, it is worth noting, due to some discomfort in the foot possibly related to the fracture that he suffered at the beginning of the campaign. “Tank” has no designation in the report, and is expected to play Washington.

What’s New in the Washington Practice Report

Meanwhile, the Washington Football Team also released its third injury report prior to Sunday night’s game. And there several casualties were made official for the clash against Dallas.

According to the report, four players are ruled out for this week: safeties Deshazor Everett (personal reason) and Landon Collins (foot injury), cornerback William Jackson III and defensive end Daniel Wise. With the exception of Everett, none of them would have been able to train this week due to their various injuries. Remember that Washington played last Tuesday against the Eagles, and therefore they did not train until Friday.

The case of Deshazor Everett deserves special attention. The defensive back was reportedly involved in a car accident alongside linebacker Jamin Davis and cornerback Benjamin St-Juste. Therefore, Davis is absent from practice on Friday due to a neck problem. However, there is no designation for St-Juste in the report.

On the other hand, two key players in Washington’s offense are in doubt for Sunday: running back Antonio Gibson and wide receiver Curtis Samuel. It is worth noting that Gibson suffered a toe injury Tuesday and has not trained since. Meanwhile, Samuel has been suffering a hamstring injury due to which he has trained in a limited way.

Finally, the report also notes that defensive end James Smith-Williams trained fully this Friday. In this way, Washington would be recovering another cash in this position. This, let us remember, after the return of Montez Sweat after suffering an injury and then being in the COVID-19 protocol.

For now, it remains to be seen what news is in the practice reports from Dallas and Washington this Friday. The Football Team deserves special attention, which can add some ups and downs on its COVID-19 list. Therefore, it will not be until Sunday that we know how decimated (or recovered) the capital team will be in the face of this decisive clash for the NFC East divisional title.
