TV Großwallstadt – Spatz becomes new managing director – Sport

The second division handball team TV Großwallstadt has prescribed a “further boost to professionalism”, according to managing director Stefan Wüst. He had campaigned for a full-time managing director and suggested the previous sporting director and long-time player Michael Spatz: “We have reached a level of saturation with our structure. Just think of over 100 sponsors who want to be looked after.” That will be one of Spatz’s future responsibilities, and Wüst will continue to support the 39-year-old as an honorary managing director.

Wüst started with a budget of 300,000 euros, which is 1.3 million this season: “More manpower is required to implement our concepts.” In terms of sport, the TVG had to take a setback with the 28:34 defeat in Hüttenberg after three victories in a row. Großwallstadt remains table-16. (11:15 points) ahead of the Rimparer Wölfen (10:20), who clearly lost 26:34 in Bietigheim.

HSC Coburg celebrated an important success, the first division relegated defeated VfL Lübeck-Schwartau 32:25 and improved to eleventh place in the table (12:14).
