The field ranks sixth, Aparjode seventh in the World Luge Cup stage

Another German, Natalia Geizenbergere, finished fourth, and Emily Swinie, an American, finished second with 0.148 seconds.

The leader of the overall rating after four stages with 409 points is Jūlija Taubica from Germany. Her compatriot Anna Bereitere has accumulated 345 points, but Egle is third with 337 points, which is 46 points ahead of Aparjodi. Field with 262 points shares sixth place with Geizenberger. Bērziņa with 87 points is in the 19th position, Vītola takes the 26th place with 54 points in three stages, and Ulla Zirne is in the 42nd place with 17 points in one stage. Points are for 56 sleigh riders.

On Friday, the participation in the World Cup was won by Vītola, who took the third place, and Bērziņa, who took the 13th place.

Ulla Zirne, who was also scheduled to start in the Nations Cup, fell during the training session, injured her shoulder and will go home on Sunday to check the severity of the injury. He will probably not go to the track in Sigulda Nations Cup.

In the first stage in China, Aparjode won 13th place, but in Sochi, second and third place, respectively, and was in the fourth Sprint Cup. Already in the first two days of 2022, the sixth stage will take place in Winterberg, Germany, and a week later the sleigh athletes will gather in Sigulda. In the middle of the month, on January 15/16, there will be an eighth stage in Oberhof, Germany, and on January 22/23, the World Cup season will end on the St. Moritz track in Switzerland, while also competing in the European Championships.

The culmination of the season will be from February 4 to 10, when the Olympic medals will be fought on the Yangtze River in Beijing.
