Spanish tennis and a statistic to be proud of

The growth of Spanish tennis at the level of infrastructures and opportunities is undoubted. From the RFET A magnificent job is being done from the grassroots to equip the youngest with events, with the aim of continuing to perpetuate Spain’s role as one of the greatest powers in the sport of racket. Proof of this has been the number of tournaments held on Spanish soil throughout 2021: our country has been the second in most tournaments held with the figure of 68 events, ahead of other countries such as France (65) or Italy (49), and only behind U.S, which housed 91. In addition, the president of the RFET, Miguel Diaz, affirmed to the Federation’s website that there is a firm commitment to increase the offer of Challenger tournaments in our country: two events will be added to the calendar next year, thus adding 13 tournaments on this circuit.
