Shin Tae-yong Reveals the Facts of Singapore’s Coach and Players Mocking the Indonesian National Team when Thel Lions Turned Superior : Okezone Bola

SINGAPORE – Shin Tae-yong revealed the fact that the coach and players of the Singapore national team mocked the Indonesian national team when The Lions turned out to be superior to the Garuda squad. He also explained that the incident annoyed him.

Indonesian national team player, Shahdan Sulaiman scored a goal in the 74th minute. The goal from the free kick made Tatsuma Yoshida’s squad turn into a 2-1 lead.

After the goal, the coach of the Singapore national team, Tatsuma Yoshida, immediately shouted at the bench belonging to the Indonesian national team. Not only that, a number of Singaporean players including the goalscorer were seen shouting in the same direction.

After the match, Shin explained that the situation made him less than happy. However, the South Korean coach said the matter had been resolved off the pitch because Yoshida had apologized.

“It’s a big problem (about celebrating the Indonesian national team bench), but because there was a celebration from Singapore players to our bench,” Shin said in a post-match press conference, Saturday (12/25/2021).

“So, I spoke a little to the Singapore coach that we had to play fair, but after that it was fine because the Singapore coach had apologized,” he added.

The match was finally finished for the victory of the Garuda Squad after being able to turn things around to 4-2. This result made the Indonesian national team qualify for the 2020 AFF Cup final due to an aggregate advantage (5-3) over Singapore.

Furthermore, the Indonesian national team is just waiting for the results of the second leg semifinal match between the Thailand vs Vietnam national team. The match will take place on Sunday (12/26/2021).
