Shin Tae-yong Reprimands Asnawi about Faris Ramli, Out if repeated!

Jakarta

Shin Tae-yong asked Asnawi Mangkualam never to provoke him again. If violated, the threat could not be called to the Indonesian national team again.

Asnawi controversially approached Faris Ramli, who failed to execute a penalty kick towards the end of the second semifinal of the 2020 AFF Cup, Saturday (12/25/2021). The Singaporean player’s failure at the same time dashed Singapore’s hopes of advancing to the final.

If Ramli’s penalty is a goal, Singapore is very likely to beat Indonesia from the AFF Cup with a score of 3-2. But his failure kept the score at 2-2, which the Indonesian national team won 4-2 through extra rounds.

So happy, Asnawi allegedly said a joke ‘thank you‘or thank you, to Faris Ramli. While holding the opponent, Asnawi was then separated by his teammate Faris Ramli.

“I didn’t know there was an action when I was still at the stadium, but I was surprised after seeing the replay video,” said Shin Tae-yong, quoted by Korean media, Joongang.

“After lunch, I reprimanded Asnawi and said, ‘if that happens again while I’m still a coach, don’t ever expect to come to the national team’,” he said.

Shin Tae-yong is a person who really upholds the attitude of fair play. He himself had an argument with the Singapore bench because he was disappointed that opposing players celebrated a goal in front of the Indonesian national team bench.

He also did not protest much when the Indonesian national team was harmed by the referee for not awarding a penalty for his team in the semifinal first leg. The Korean coach prefers to respect the referee’s decision.

With his values, he was very disappointed to see Asnawi’s actions. Ansan Greeners players were asked not to repeat the action again in the next opportunity.

“All the players on the field are co-workers, how devastated he felt after failing to score a penalty goal. Something that is not accepted is also for players to celebrate goals in front of the opposing bench,” said Shin Tae-yong.

“Asnawi has promised me not to do it again,” he said again.
