PSG: Kylian Mbappe doesn’t rule out contract extension in Paris
Kylian Mbappe actually wanted to leave last summer, but a farewell to PSG was expected in 2022. Is he still rethinking?
Star striker Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain has not ruled out the possibility of extending his contract with the French runners-up, which expires at the end of June 2022.
“I don’t know,” Mbappe replied in an interview with legendary striker Thierry Henry for Amazon prime when asked about his future and said: “I have to take the time, it’s not easy. Either way, I’ll be playing for a big club.”

In October, the 22-year-old admitted that he actually wanted to leave PSG last summer – also to enable the club to collect a high transfer fee for him. Mbappe said he was “initially disappointed” about the fact that the intended move to Real Madrid did not materialize in the end: “But I wasn’t with a third division, but with a club that wants to win the Champions League . I’m Parisian, I have my family here and I feel good, that’s what I’ve always said. I just wanted to experience something new. “
Should Mbappe not renew his contract in Paris, he would be able to move on a free transfer next summer, Real Madrid are still the preferred target of the world champions.
In the current season, Mbappe, who came to PSG from Monaco in 2017, currently has nine goals and 13 assists in 21 competitive appearances.
