Pallacanestro Trieste restarts from the match against Aquila Basket Trento

Fans and aficionados of the wedge ball are preparing to experience again a weekend of Serie A 2021/2022. After two weeks from the last matches and the break for the national teams, the tenth day of the championship will be played with Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste which, on Sunday 5 December starting at 16:30, will host the Aquila Dolomiti Energia Trentino. In the standings behind the leaders Milan (18 points) and the pursuer Virtus Bologna (14 points) we find the Trentino people, paired in Brindisi with 12 points, the result of six wins and three defeats. Trieste, on the other hand, is positioned with 10 points in fifth position together with Naples, Venice and Treviso. The confrontation on Sunday therefore promises to be exciting and full of points of interest: the Allianz wants to find success after the missteps with Varese and Venice while the team of coach Emanuele Molin is eager to hit the fifth consecutive joy after the four victories achieved before the stop.

Coach Ciani’s team, approaching Sunday, will carry out a training session in the afternoon in the afternoon between video analysis and exercises on the parquet while on Saturday they will meet in the morning to oil the tactical, offensive and defensive mechanisms in the field, to try to stem the arms of Trento. Sunday morning the red and white will carry out the usual pre-match finishing.

In the last two weeks, without the Sunday match, Allianz have worked most of the time without Lever and Gražulis, busy with their respective national teams, and Campogrande, who is undergoing an individual recovery path after the operation. It was a period in which the players who remained in Trieste concentrated mainly on the physical part, looking for greater intensity and variety of exercises compared to the classic championship week. “On the one hand, numerous sessions dedicated to the metabolic development of children have been introduced, taking care of the various characteristics of metabolism, starting with the aerobic ones. In a program built on the use of the entire motor system, however, I tried to insist a lot on running, proposed through non-repetitive exercises but with a fun and competitive edge.

At the same time, each member of the team began a new cycle of their strength development path: I managed to add new elements to the consolidated ones and create more varied circuits ”, the words of Luca Bonetta, athletic trainer of Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste. The latter then added how: “It was also a useful period to evaluate the general condition of the team. A group that responded positively to the various inputs proposed by myself together with the technical staff. We organized sessions on the parquet with a clear metabolic imprint: ball possessions of 16 “and not 24”, baskets that if scored in the first 8 “were worth double, all ingredients to stimulate certain skills of the players and to increase the intensity of our game in view of the next commitments “.
