NORWICH – Manchester United against Norwich City in the 2021-2022 Premier League continued. Away to Carrow Road, Sunday (12/12/2021), early morning WIB, the Red Devils won 1-0.
The course of the match
First round
Man United immediately launched an attack from the first minute. However, Norwich were able to anticipate the attack and get out of the pressure.
In the 14th minute, Alex Telles almost scored the opener for the Red Devils. Unfortunately, Telles’ free kick hit the crossbar.
Norwich, who played in front of the public, also did not want to lose. The team made by Dean Smith often made a quick counter-attack that threatened the Man United goal.
However, the Man United defense, led by Harry Maguire, is still difficult to penetrate. The match was running pretty tough until the 30th minute.
Until finally, Man United got its golden opportunity through Cristiano Ronaldo’s kick in the 36th minute. However, Norwich goalkeeper, Tim Krul, was able to brush it off very nicely.

Evidently in the 56th minute, Teemu Pukki’s kick almost put the hosts ahead. Fortunately, David De Gea could ward off his kick very nicely.
Until finally, Man United managed to break the deadlock in the 75th minute through a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty. The penalty prize was obtained after Aarons pulled the player nicknamed CR7 until he fell in the forbidden box.
In the 77th minute, the hosts got a golden opportunity through Lees Melou’s header. However, De Gea made another brilliant save that only resulted in a corner for Norwich.
Entering the final 10 minutes of the match, Norwich continued to threaten the visitors’ goal. However, Man United’s defense is still very strong.
Then, in the 85th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo almost doubled Man United’s advantage. Unfortunately, he squandered the golden opportunity because the ball he shot rose over the crossbar.
Norwich came close to equalizing in injury time, but were again missed by De Gea. Man United also won 1-0.
