NFL: Laurent Duvernay-Tardif injured against the Eagles

The New York Jets lowered the flag to the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 33-18 on Sunday.

They also lost the services of guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif in the third quarter. After a shock, he stayed on the ground and appeared to hurt his ankle. He did not return to the meeting afterwards.

Gardner Minshew took over from Jalen Hurt as quarterback as the latter also suffered an ankle injury. Minshew finished his first start of the season with two touchdown passes and a win. He was 20 for 25 with gains of 242 yards.

He joined Dallas Goedert twice in the end zone for the touchdown in the first half, which incidentally gave rise to an offensive festival, and Kenneth Gainwell also made it to the pay zone.

The two teams traded six straight touchdowns in the first half.

Same as the Eagles scored in their first seven possessions of the game by adding four field goals. The Eagles increased their record to 6-7 and have historically dominated the Jets 12-0.

However, Philly lost running back Miles Sanders, who was released in the fourth quarter to an ankle injury. He had amassed 120 yards on 24 carries.

(3-9) Jets cornerback Michael Carter also did not finish the game and must be assessed for concussion.
