Osagi Bascome is dead! The young kicker, last active at club level in England, was stabbed to death in Bermuda during a brawl.
The shock is deep. English media report on the violent death of footballer Osagi Bascome. He died at the age of only 23.
Bascome was a Bermuda player. In his home country he is said to have gotten into a fight three days ago after a night of partying and was stabbed in the process. The athlete was taken to a hospital in a private car, but died there from his injuries.
Most recently, Bascome was without a club, before that in England with Bristol City and Darlington FC. At second division Bristol he was used in the U23. Darlington is an English sixth division team.
Bascome collected 16 internationals for Bermuda.
“The Royal Gazette” reports that the police have arrested a 24-year-old suspect. Nothing is yet known about the background to the crime.
