Led by two goals, Eupen manages an extraordinary comeback and eliminates Zulte Waregem, OHL surprises Westerlo

A double from Gano (23rd and 36th) for the Flandrians and a hat-trick from Prevljak (71st, 81, 94th) for the Pandas animated the meeting. Zulte Waregem took control and established his authority in the first half. After a golden opportunity missed by Kutesa (20th), Gano opened the scoring for the visitors in the lead, after being found by a cross from Fadera behind the defenders (0-1, 22nd). The striker returned the cover ten minutes from half-time by taking a header from a millimeter center from Dompé, while he was alone at the penalty spot in Eupen (0-2, 36th).

Dominated in the first half, Eupen returned to the race in the last thirty minutes. After a missed save by Bossut, Prevljak jumped up to push the ball over the goalkeeper and open the German-speaking counter (1-2, 68th). The equalizer came following a poorly negotiated corner by the defense of Zulte Waregem: Prevljak was once again illustrated by receiving a center back at 6 meters (2-2, 81st), thus forcing extensions.

The Pandas finally took the advantage for the first time at the start of the additional thirty minutes of play: Prevljak offered himself a hat-trick in one end on a sleazy service from Peeters (3-2, 94th). This goal was enough for the Eupenois to resist for the last twenty-five minutes and ensure qualification for the quarter-finals.
