JUNIOR PAN AMERICAN MEDALISTS ATHLETES WILL BE AWARDED

The Peruvian Olympic Committee (IPD) and the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) announced that they will perform a tribute and award to the 35 athletes who won medals at the I Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle 2021, which was held in Colombia.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, December 10, at 12:00 hours, on the National Stadium field. It should be remembered that the Peruvian team collected 35 medals (6 gold, 15 silver and 14 bronze) in this competition.

The national athletes who achieved medals are: Gold: Sofía Mamani (athletics, 10,000 meters), Daianne Hayashida and Lucciana Pérez (tennis, women’s doubles), Gonzalo Bueno and Ignacio Buse (tennis, men’s doubles), Gonzalo Bueno (tennis, individual ), Julio Palomino, (athletics, 3,000 meters hurdles), Gianella Lozano (karate).

Silver medal: Ryan Cubas (wrestling), Edward Alarcón (gymnastics, pommel horse), Edward Alarcón (gymnastics, rings), Edward Gonzales (gymnastics, jumping), Yumiko Tanabe (judo), Kiara Arango (judo), Eliana Vásquez (taekwondo), Angelo Caro (skateboarding), Mary Luz Andía (athletics, 20km athletic walk), Enrique Herrera (wrestling), Christopher Li and Lucciana Pérez (tennis, mixed doubles), Frank Luján (athletics, 10,000 dash) , Francesca Gardella (Single W1X rowing), Verónica Huacasi (athletics, 3,000 meters hurdles), volleyball team (women).

Bronze medals: Inés Castillo (badminton), Javier Saavedra (judo), Noemí Huayhuameza (judo), Arnold Prado (judo), Santiago Villegas (weightlifting), Frank de la Sotta (bowling), José Luis Chaupin (athletics, 3,000 meters), Ángel Sosa and César Cipriani (rowing), Gloria Asca (wrestling), César Olaya (karate), Sandro Gardella, Ángel Sosa, Cesar Cipriani and Andrés Sandoval (rowing MX 4), Daianne Hayashida (tennis, individual), Nicolás Bouroncle (karate) and Kurt García (karate).
