The Miami-OH RedHawks and Clemson Tigers meet in college basketball action from Littlejohn Coliseum on Tuesday. Miami-OH is 5-3 so far this year. The RedHawks lost to Indiana State in their last game. As for Clemson, they are 6-4 this season and just picked up a win over Drake. Check back throughout the season for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Miami-OH started off with a strong five-game winning streak against Georgia Tech, Lamar, Stetson, Heidelberg and Defiance. Since then, there have been three straight losses to Western Illinois, Cincinnati and Indiana State.

In Saturday’s loss to Indiana State, Miami-OH had a 39-37 halftime lead. However, the RedHawks couldn’t hang on and ultimately lost 69-68 in a tough game. Mekhi Lairy was the team’s top scorer with 18 points and five boards.

On the Clemson side, they beat Presbyterian, Wofford, Bryant and Temple before losing to St. Bonaventure and West Virginia. The Tigers are 2-2 since then with losses to Rutgers and Miami-FL as well as wins to Charleston Southern and Drake.

On Saturday against Drake, Clemson saw a 39-32 halftime lead disappear as the Bulldogs forced overtime. The Tigers took over with 16 points in a 90-80 win. PJ Hall doubled with 22 points, 13 rebounds and two assists.

The Tigers are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games on Tuesday. The surplus is 5-0 in Clemson’s last five home games.

Meanwhile, the RedHawks are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games on Tuesday and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight after a direct loss. The upper hand is 3-0-1 in Miami-OH’s last four games on Tuesday.

PICK: I’ll stay with Clemson. The Tigers were scared of overtime in the game against Drake, but everything went well. Clemson shot 46.7% from the field with 17 assists and a 38-27 advantage on rebounds.

As for Miami-OH, they’ve been slow on the scoreboard in their last three games, posting 68 points or less in each. Clemson has scored 75 or more in three of his last four games, and I also like another big score here. I don’t think the RedHawks will follow.
