“I know I will return to Milan”

Romelu Lukaku saw a complicated first part of the season at Chelsea. While he made his return to the Blues last August after having put Italy at his feet, the Red Devils striker is struggling to regain the level he had at Inter Milan. Lukaku spoke about his situation at the microphone of Sky Sport Italy, a day after finding the net opposite Brighton.

Physically, I’m fine. But I’m not happy with my situation at Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel chose to play in another system. I’m not satisfied but I will stay professional, I can’t give up now“said Big Rom ‘in a long interview with Matteo Barzaghi.

Romelu Lukaku took advantage of this interview to reaffirm his love for Inter and their supporters: I think not everything that happened last summer was supposed to be like this… the way I left Inter, how I communicated with the fans, it bothers me because now was not the right time. Now is a good time to share my feelings. I always said I had Inter in my heart: I know that I will return to Inter, I really hope so … not at the end of my career, but when I am still at the top level to earn more together. I want to apologize to the Inter fans, the timing of my words was not right: what you did for me will stay forever“.

Dissatisfied with Chelsea and obviously still in love with Italy and more particularly with his former club, does Romelu Lukaku have in mind to leave the Blues faster than expected? Only the future will tell us…

At the moment, the Belgian striker seems to regain his feelings little by little as evidenced by his two goals scored against Aston Villa and Brighton recently.
