Former footballer Hugo Maradona, younger brother of Diego Armando Maradona, has died this morning after suffering a heart attack at his residence in Monte di Procida, in the province of Naples, according to local Italian media and reports Efe . The little one of the Maradonas has lost his life at the age of 52. According to the Italian press, the emergency services that went to his home could not do anything to save him; only to confirm his death. Hugo Maradona was scheduled to undergo heart tests soon. His passing comes shortly after the one-year anniversary of Diego Armando’s death on November 25, 2020.

Hugo Mardona, who had been living in Italy for some time, also had a career as a footballer. Trained in the Argentine Juniors, he signed at a very young age for Naples, which he transferred to Ascoli, where he failed to settle. After a brief stint in Italy, he played for numerous teams in several countries, including the Austrian Vienna Rapid, Rayo Vallecano, Venezuelan Deportivo Italia and Fukuoka Avispa, among other Japanese teams. He spent two seasons in Madrid, between 1988 and 1990. He also played in Uruguay and Canada, before moving to the lower divisions of Naples. Lately, he had also become interested in politics, specifically with the center-right group Napoli Central by Enzo Rivellini.
