The carabinieri arrested a 20-year-old local in Gravina in Puglia, in the Bari area, accused of drug dealing and deferred for abusive porting of objects capable of offending. The military, following some checks, identified him in the streets of the center, at dawn, while he was aboard a car.
The young man was found in possession of three doses of hashish for a total weight of 4.3 grams and a sum of 580 euros in cash, deemed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity. In the car there were also two baseball bats, considered, due to the circumstances of time and place, objects suitable for offending and promptly confiscated. Finally, the search was extended to his home, allowing the discovery of an additional 59.2 grams of hashish, a precision sling bar and material for the packaging of the drug. Everything was requisitioned by the military.
The young man, after being arrested, was subjected to the daily obligation of presentation in the barracks, following a direct hearing.
