Four robbers are waiting for Benfica defender Otamendi at home | soccer Portugal

Argentine footballer Nicolas Otamendi of Benfica was robbed on Sunday night. That happened when the defender came home after the won league match at Famalicao.

According to the Portuguese media, Jan Vertonghen’s teammate was met by 4 robbers when he returned home. They forced the Argentine to open the front door. His wife and son were at home. The thieves took money and watches, among other things.

Benfica confirmed the robbery in a statement on its website. “The player and his family are doing well despite the very unpleasant situation.” The club calls on the media to respect the privacy of those involved and says it will await the investigations of the authorities.
