Former Bundesliga basketball player Stevan Jelovac is dead. The Serb died at the age of 32, as his club AEK Athens announced on Sunday evening.
“Show them how to play basketball up there”
Jelovac, who played for Brose Bamberg in the 2018/19 season, passed out during training around three weeks ago. It was later found out that he had suffered a stroke.
“We have no words. Rest in peace and all the best on your last trip! Show them up there how to play basketball,” wrote the Franconian Bundesliga club on Twitter.
The 2.08-meter-tall professional basketball player has also played in his home country of Serbia, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Russia, Lithuania and Japan. (dpa/sid/msc)
