Domenico Severi: in 1974 the strong point of Bernazzoli and of the Italian national team, now of Poviglio Baseball

Once again we thank Mr. Giuliano Masola for having published on his fecebook page this umpteenth “historical gem” of the fabulous world of baseball which we are proud to be part of.

This is an article published by the Gazzetta di Parma on March 3, 1974 concerning our current coach Domenico Severi, then only nineteen but already a fundamental element of the legendary team of the “Bernazzoli” of Parma (the current Parma Baseball to be clear) and of the Italian national team. Severi was at that time in Florida for a refresher internship.

At this moment, however, almost half a century later, as evidence of an “boundless” passion that perhaps only baseball can deserve, Domenico is still treading the Italian diamonds. He is obviously doing it as a coach of all our formations, from the youth teams to the first team, and forging our boys from the top of his enormous experience. Thanks Domenico for being one of ours and congratulations for your wonderful sporting history also as an athlete!
