I don’t know if manipulated is the right word, but the FIA has unequivocally decided who to give the title to this year and on which side it was. Lewis was completely without a chance to defend himself, it was supposed to drive under a safety car or immediately stop with a red flag and give a sprint for 4 laps.
I also don’t understand why the FIA left the riders behind the bike behind Max, probably so that they couldn’t accidentally attack the poor man from behind.
Mercedes and Lewis were clearly better than the whole race, except for the FIA to decide in the last lap that it wants Max to get the title.
Max deserves the title, that’s not the point, but winning it like this takes a lot of trouble.
