Davis Cup> Karatsev: “You have to constantly calm Rublev, otherwise it’s dangerous”

It’s no secret that Andrey Rublev can have real hysterics on the court in both singles and doubles. Fortunately, his teammate Aslan Karatsev has found the right method to reframe his buddy when he goes crazy.

“In fact, I mainly try to calm him down and get his attention so that he is focused and that he does not get lost, otherwise it can be ‘dangerous’ for the rest of the game. As soon as I see him huffing or walking slowly, I rush towards him and talk to him ”, Aslan explained.

Obviously it works since, despite a few trips off the track, Rublev has held his place since the start of the competition without pulling the pin when he was not always at his best level.
