Barça: Koeman donates € 2m to Xavi

Left the club for a month now, Ronald Koeman will still receive 10 million euros from FC Barcelona.

A month after the defeat against Rayo Vallecano (1-0) and the dismissal of Ronald Koeman, FC Barcelona finally reached an agreement with the Dutchman concerning the termination of his contract. This Friday, El Periódico de Catalunya announces that the Catalan club will pay the sum of 10 million euros to his former coach, a saving of 2 million euros on the 12 initially claimed by Koeman.

Ronald Koeman gave in on part of the compensation amount in order to reach an early agreement and prevent the situation from escalating too much. In this way, he is now completely cut off from Barca. Xavi no longer has the Dutchman’s shadow over his head.
