Cristiano Giuntoli, deportivo director of Napoli, would have Davinson Sánchez on the list of candidates to replace Kostas Manolas, who will return to Olympiacos in Greece. The Italian team is looking for a central defender with European experience for the remainder of the season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Davinson is interested in his age (25 years old) and for being one of the references of his selection. The player would have been proposed by intermediaries and agents to arrive on loan with an option to buy at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The other candidates that Napoli has for that position are Malang Sarr from Chelsea, Attila Szalai from Fenerbahce and Marash Kumbulla from Roma, perhaps the favorite of the board for his knowledge of Serie A. Aurelio De Laurentiis has the last word to choose the right one.
Despite that offer, Tottenham would hardly let Davinson out on loan. Little by little, the Colombian has been recovering his best form and is already one of Antonio Conte’s trusted men. This Tuesday he started again in the 1-1 draw against Southampton.
