Bert Put is promoted and becomes a semi-professional referee | Jupiler Pro League

The Professional Refereeing Department announced today that it has added Bert Put (33) to the list of semi-professional referees in our country. He replaces the retired Wesley Alen.

Put had the whistle in his hands during Seraing-Anderlecht yesterday. He put the ball on the dot three times.

He combines a career as a ref with a job at the Sint-Franciscus Hospital in Heusden-Zolder and made his debut in the 2017-2018 season as a referee in the highest football class. Since then, he has led 61 matches in 1A.

His semi-pro contract now allows the Limburger to focus on arbitration on a part-time basis. That means, among other things, two training days a week at the training center in Tubize.

The other eleven semi-pros are Jan Boterberg, Alexandre Boucaut, Wesli De Cremer, Lothar D’Hondt, Erik Lambrechts, Jonathan Lardot, Kevin Van Damme, Bram Van Driessche, Nathan Verboomen, Jasper Vergoote and Lawrence Visser.
