It doesn’t seem to work for Zinho Vanheusden this season. Our compatriot lost 3-1 with Genoa visiting Lazio and had to be injured again during the break. Another setback for the young defender.

Genoa is experiencing a dramatic season in the Serie A. The oldest club in Italy lost for the fourth time in a row today and is in penultimate place in the standings.

Things are not going smoothly for Zinho Vanheusden either. The Belgian defender was sidelined for more than 2 months with a muscle injury and is no certitude in Andrei Shevchenko’s team.

Still, the still only 22-year-old Vanheusden was allowed to start the match today, but he remained in the dressing room during the break. The Italian media is reporting a groin injury.

And the match itself? Well, it was all in all easily won by the home team. The scorers on duty were Pedro, Acerbi and Zaccagni. In the final Melegoni was able to soften the visitors.
