he Badminton club of Vichy Cusset (BCVC) recently became the second badminton club in the Allier to have an employee. The young Melvin Fauchet, 21, has benefited from a PEC contract (Parcours emploi Compétence), in partnership with Pôle emploi.
A CDD contract
With a baccalaureate S, Melvin also holds an additional specialization in animation and project management in sports sectors, which allows him to enter working life and put his skills into practice in a sports club.
He had initially thought about football, but it is an area in which there are many demands. He discovered badminton and the Cussétois club.
Vincent Raboutot, the president, gave him a chance and gave him his confidence. After training to acquire the techniques and basics of this game, Melvin takes care of managing the training sessions to then become a facilitator and then a coach in the club.
At the end of his fixed-term contract (CDD), Vincent Raboutot “hopes to be able to keep his employee if the club’s finances allow it because, he says, there is a lot to do with around 140 licensees currently”.
Various tournaments are planned for this end of the year and early 2022, a departmental youth tournament, a regional senior tournament on Saturday January 15 and Sunday January 16 and, above all, a national competition on Saturday February 26 and Sunday February 27 with 300 participants and the presence of Club 20 players, the best French players, at the Maison des sports.
