Germany’s tennis giant Alexander Zverev and girlfriend Sophia Thomalla would also pass as James Bond and companion. On Sunday evening they shone together on the red carpet at the gala for the German “Sportsman of the Year” in Baden-Baden, where Alex was named Sportsman of the Year 2021.

Zverev, who played the best season of his career and was crowned Olympic champion in men’s singles in Tokyo (as the first German ever), succeeded national ice hockey striker Leon Draisaitl.
Fine instead of sporty
Completely different than usual on the court, the 24-year-old was posh, very classic in a black suit and black bow tie. And Sophia? The 32-year-old came – to match her Alex – in a black dress, showed a lot of leg.
Both then posted a number of pictures of their appearance on social media. Sophia wrote under one: “I found my James Bond for one night.” And then there was a big compliment. In the story she wrote about a video showing Alex: “How good can you look? Sascha: Yes.” (sfu)
