At the Mandalika Circuit, Toprak Razgatlioglu successfully became the 2021 WSBK world champion. Today was also an extraordinary day for the Turkish rider.

After finishing second in Race 1 WSBK Mandalika 2021, Toprak has been crowned world champion. Although there is still Race 2, Toprak’s points are impossible to surpass Jonathan Rea, who is his toughest competitor.

For Toprak, the WSBK world title is like a dream come true. He did not forget to dedicate his achievements to his late father.

“First, I want to thank my family and Kenan Sofuoglu because we are a big family. Also, thanks to my team, they did a great job this year.”

“Sometimes we crashed, sometimes we had a good race and finally we are here. I am very happy.”

“It’s a special day for me because this world champion is for my father. It’s always been a dream of mine. He wasn’t here again, he died, but I feel he saw.”

“I’m very happy. It’s a great day for me and we are world champions. Thank you all!” he added.

Toprak is the most talked about rider in Mandalika. His first name, which is familiar to Indonesians, as well as his act of participating in weeding the grass, became the subject of discussion. Toprak is also listed as the first Turkish rider to win the WSBK world title.
