Thibaut Courtois implies that he suffers the consequences of his remarks on FIFA

Thibaut Courtois is not used to keeping his tongue in his pocket. It doesn’t matter who he finds himself in front of. This is how the Real Madrid player publicly attacked FIFA and UEFA in mid-October and now thinks he is suffering the consequences.

His media release had been noticed, considering that the two institutions did not really care about the well-being of the players but only “their pockets”.

This Monday, the list of players selected to receive the trophy for best goalkeeper of the season, issued by FIFA, was unveiled. No trace of the Belgian goalkeeper Real Madrid. Alisson Becker, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Edouard Mendy, Manuel Neuer and Kasper Schmeichel are the five players selected. Which doesn’t really please Thibaut Courtois who said at a press conference on Tuesday: “I think I’m not nominated for The Best because of what I said a month ago.
