Saturday April 27, two Marnavalais participated in the Veteran Master in Gérardmer (Vosges). Only Dimitri Zissis won gold, in M1, where he won without difficulty. Kada Ouali was eliminated in the 2nd round.
During the weekend, twelve Marnaval junior cadets also participated in the Maubeuge International Tournament. On Saturday, Dorian Carpentier, vice-champion of France, minimal, also won without much difficulty, in more than 73 kg, and confirms his results for the season, knowing that at the start of the school year, he will return to the Strasbourg Hope Center.
In cadets, only Alyssa Atamna, from the Pôle Espoirs de Strasbourg, won bronze. Their other club mates were eliminated in the first rounds and were not up to this level of competition which served as preparation for the French Cadets “2D” and Espoirs championships, on May 18 and 19 in Clermont- Ferrand, some of whom are qualified. We will have to get back to work to claim to defend the colors of Haut-Marne judo.
SLO judo presented a judoka at the Label A international cadet tournament in Maubeuge. Clément Rothfuss fought, in -90 kg, as part of his preparation for the French 2D championship. In a dense and tough category, the Bettancourtois obtains a very nice bronze medal. In his category, there were a few foreigners like Belgians, Portuguese and English.

Some meetings from Thursday
From this Thursday, May 2 until Sunday, May 5, the Haute-Marne committee is organizing, in Giffaumont, an annual inter-departmental multi-activity judo course for benjamins-minimes-cadets, led by Frédéric Demontfaucon, 7th Dan, world champion and Olympic medalist. On Thursday evening, a special session will be held for teachers and club black belts, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, Marnavalais Dimitri Zissis will compete, in Cardanne, in Bouches-du-Rhône, his native department, the Master Veteran M1, after winning, this Saturday, that of Gérardmer. These competitions are selective for the French veterans championships in June.
