The Regional Judo Federation awards in Puertollano to the best athletes of 2020

Puertollano has hosted the XXI Gala of Judo and Associated Sports of Castilla-La Mancha, in which the mayor, Adolfo Muniz has received the Golden Quijote from the FJYDALCM Regional Federation along with Lydia María Camacho Moreno de la Santa, while Jose Cañizares, a figure of judo in Puertollano, has been recognized with a special mention.

The mayor thanked the Regional Judo Federation for choosing Puertollano to hold this gala, and especially Paqui Moreno, that as a top-level athlete for years she has been an ambassador for the municipality “that has carried the flag and thinking of new initiatives to host many other events.”

In addition, Alvaro de Mingo Anguita received the award for the best Aikido athlete and Oscar Estepa Romero for the best teacher, both from CD Aikido Toledo, and the award for constancy during Covid 19 to Dimitar Kostadinov Petrov, also from CD. Prizes for the daily effort were also given to families to Mariblanca Galvez, from the CD Gym Club SantaCruz and plaques to Francisco Tamaral and Raúl Serrano, from the Puertollano Municipal Sports Board;
