RB Leipzig: ‘No understanding that the government has allowed it to come to this’

The corona figures in the state of Saxony are rising and that is why RB Leipzig will have to do without an audience for the next three home games. The club is very displeased about this and lashes out at the government.

Leipzig agrees, but with great reluctance. The club says it is concerned about the situation and states that everything must be done to slow down the crisis.

“But what we don’t understand is that the Saxon government allowed it to get this far in the first place. The highest infection rates, combined with the lowest vaccination rate, prove that politicians in Saxony have failed to contain the pandemic,” the club said in a statement. “We hope that the new situation will bring the R-number down so that we can get back to normal as soon as possible.”

For Leipzig, it concerns matches against Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Arminia Bielefeld. On Saturday, the German leader will play against TSG Hoffenheim.
