The regional government allocates 1.25 million euros to help the 41 sports federations of Castilla-La Mancha – 11/23/2021 Region

The Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha publishes this Tuesday a definitive resolution of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports by which the call for subsidies for the organization and management of the sports federations of Castilla-La Mancha during 2021 is resolved.

These grants will benefit the 41 sports federations of the Autonomous Community and to grant them aspects such as the development of programs to promote physical-sports activity have been prioritized; sports promotion at school age; programs aimed at promoting sports and women or promoting values ​​and programs aimed at promoting sports for people with disabilities.

The capacity of each federation to promote the celebration and participation in official competitions and programs for the modernization and detection of sports talents has also been taken into account, as well as, to facilitate the development and extension of federated sports practice in the Autonomous Community.

The federations that will receive the most aid will be the Castilla-La Mancha Football Federation with an amount of 63,618 euros, as it is the one with the largest number of licenses and projects. This is followed by basketball, with 61,000 euros; and others such as athletics, cycling, canoeing, swimming, Judo, volleyball and karate, which will receive around 45,000 euros each.

On the other hand, it should be noted that multisport federations for people with physical and intellectual disabilities such as FEDIF and FECAM, will receive about 35,000 and 43,000 euros respectively for the development of sports inclusion projects.

The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Rosa Ana Rodríguez, has indicated that “the economic amounts of these subsidies will be received by the federations before the end of this year.”

Rodríguez recalled that the regional president, Emiliano García-Page, has supported the sports federations of the Autonomous Community since he came to the Government and this support has been carried out even in the worst moments of the pandemic.

Currently, the 41 federations of Castilla-La Mancha have about 131,000 federated athletes and around 5,000 sports clubs.
