The Olympic Champion Fatima Galvez leads the poster of winners by the City Council of Baena who will receive their deserved tribute at the Baena and Albendín 2021 Sports Gala. The Sports delegation of the Baenense Consistory recovers its presence in an event that will distribute several awards among the most relevant athletes and entities related to the sport of the last 12 months. At the event, which will be held on December 10 at the Liceo Theater, Carolina Marín, also an Olympic champion and world reference in badminton, will also receive an extraordinary tribute.
The Baena City Council launched the organization of this Sports Gala on October 23, with the meeting of the organizing committee, made up of 14 people related to the field of sport both in Baena and Albendín, who was in charge of proposing the candidates for these awards, in addition to studying the different proposals received externally.
Subsequently, it was the jury, made up of 11 people related to sports and local institutions, as well as specialized professionals from the media, in charge of ratify the winners in each of the proposed categories.
Thus, the adapted cyclist will be chosen as the best absolute athletes of Baena Andrés Urbano Lozano and the slingshot Fatima Galvez Marin. As the best absolute athletes of Albendín, Rafael Moreno Castro placeholder image and Marina Morales Briceño.
In the category of grassroots athletes, the winners are Raúl Molina de Tomás and Cristina Ariza Cano, while in seniors the chosen ones are Rafael Vacas Barba and Maria del Carmen Ordóñez Torres. As veteran athletes, Manuel de las Morenas Martínez and Guadalupe Monroy. In addition, in the category of best club, the award will be received by the Baena Swimming Club.
At the Baena and Albendín 2021 Sports Gala there will also be room for a series of special recognitions.
