“The Nets went from a Big 3 to a Big 1”

Scary a little less than a year ago, when they could still field their three superstars, the Nets are now much less afraid. In addition to the absence of Kyrie Irving, one of the two current leaders of the team would turn out to be just as ghostly according to a famous analyst!

The mania of star trios, which came back in force last year, does not seem to bear fruit as much as it once did in the league. After dropping out of the Big Three for a few months, some NBA franchises have tried to bring this fad up to date. For the moment, none is harvesting the expected results, whether it is the Lakers or the Nets.

The New Yorkers, yet leaders of their conference at the time of this writing (14-6), despite everything have extenuating circumstances to justify their setbacks in the game. The most glaring still remains the absence of Kyrie Irving, absent since the start of the season as an unvaccinated player. Without him, they are logically Kevin Durant and James Harden who must assume their responsibilities.

Skip Bayless strikes Harden off star status

Almost flawless so far, Durant wears his franchise as much as he can in this first quarter of the season. For his part, Harden displays a level well below his standards. His last performance to date, against Phoenix, even earned him a big humiliation in his own room at Barclays Center. Disgruntled by this vision, Skip Bayless knocked out the Bearded Man after the meeting.

Kevin Durant finished with 39/9/7 and 4 interceptions but received almost no help from Harden (0/6 to 3 points) while the Suns moved to 16-3 with a big win in Brooklyn. The Nets went from a Big 3 to a Big 1.

For the flagship journalist of Fox Sports, the show offered by Brooklyn last year, would have simply turned into a one-man-show. KD takes care of the essentials, while his designated acolytes do not meet expectations, on or off the pitch. Can Steve Nash’s men reasonably claim the title in this context? The rest of the season will provide an answer!

The Big 3 of the Nets is disappointing at the start of the season, or at least two of its members, which Skip Bayless did not fail to point out. Yes, the analyst also knows how to attack others than LeBron James!
