Sports activities resume in their entirety in Camagüey

Camagüey, Nov 12.- From this Friday, November 12, sports and physical culture activities are fully restored in Camagüey, in facilities, communities, grandparents’ circles, outdoor and bodybuilding gyms, and other spaces.

Baseball, a national sport in Cuba, will be the protagonist on Sunday, when the Cándido González stadium will once again receive, at no cost, the followers of the Toros de la Llanura, whose preselection for the next National Series will star in an exhibition game that It will be broadcast live on the frequencies of Radio Cadena Agramonte.

At a press conference, Mario Núñez Caballero, provincial director of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, said that the 44 biosaludable parks are ready, which will be attended by teachers, and various actions will take place in various disciplines in the municipalities.

In recent months, Camagüey has carried out an extensive infrastructure revitalization program, which included seven stadiums in districts such as Piedrecitas, in the municipality of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, Haiti, in Santa Cruz del Sur, and Esmeralda; in addition to volleyball and basketball courts and the judo and wrestling gymnasium in the Juruquey neighborhood of the City of Tinajones, the latter nearing its conclusion.

With several initiatives, Camagüey resumes sporting activities starting this Friday that greet the 63rd anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and on November 19, Physical Culture and Sports Day, a party to which the resumption of the teaching course will be added next Monday. at the School for Sports Initiation School, EIDE, and at the School for Physical Education Teachers, EPEF.
