The Bsc Rovigo greets and thanks the Cuban technicians Soto Diaz and Becerra. It’s time to say goodbye at Baseball Softball Club Rovigo. But it’s just a goodbye. After an intense and satisfying season, on November 20 the two technicians Josè Antonio Soto Diaz and Yoel Becerra will return to Cuba for some well-deserved rest. They will both return at the end of January 2022 to set up a new vintage that will see them at the forefront of the senior and under rossoblù teams. While Becerra has long been a point of reference for the Rovigo club, the recently concluded one was the first season in Italy for Soto Diaz, who arrived last winter to collect the legacy of fellow countryman Fidel Reinoso, historic coach of the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo. A task that the Cuban coach has carried out very well, immersing himself in the new reality in Rovigo with great enthusiasm, with truly remarkable acclimatization times. Catapulted into the Italian national top flight, Soto Diaz was able to immediately lead Itas Mutua Rovigo to a historic salvation, coming out with his head held high from the first phase of the tournament and winning his own group in the next Pool Salvation. After the departure of Soto Diaz and Becerra, the activities of the Serie A team will continue under the orders of the technicians Francesco Aluffi and Maurizio Sera, and of the athletic trainer Stefano Berto. At the beginning of the year the rossoblù technical staff will not only embrace the two Cuban coaches, but will also welcome another coach arriving from Pinar del Rio, the city from which all the Cuban coaches of the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo arrive. This is Javier Pino Soto, 38, softball coach for the local academy and for the national series. He will integrate the rossoblù technical staff dedicated to softball, filling the gap left last year by his compatriot Leonardo Mena, held back overseas by personal problems. Pino Soto was identified thanks to the close relationships that the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo continues to maintain with the beat and run movement of the Caribbean island.
