Spain presents the Huelva Badminton World Cup

Huelva will be the third Spanish city to host a world badminton event, after Seville (2001) and Madrid (2006) did.

The president of the CSD, José Manuel Franco, stressed that this is an unequivocal sign of our ability to host safe sporting events, which will soon be joined by the Women’s Handball World Cup.

During the launch of the event, players were present, among them the champion Carolina Marín; as well as the mayor of Huelva, Gabriel Cruz; the general secretary for sport of the Junta de Andalucía, José María Arrabal; and the president of the Spanish Badminton Federation, Andoni Azurmendi.
