Santander, on the podium of the U17 Women’s National Basketball Championship

SAntander fulfilled in the organization and also in sports in the National Under-17 Women’s Basketball Championship that took place in Bucaramanga.

The most important tournament of the category was held at the Vicente Díaz Romero coliseum, which brought together the best players in the country and was selective to join the Colombian National Team that in 2022 will compete in the South American Championship.

In the organization, everything was up to par and the performance of the casts was superlative, in addition to the fact that Santander, as host, also enforced the house by getting second place, in a dramatic final against Piratas de Bogotá, which narrowly won margin 54-52.

“The performance of the Santander teams was very good, with the under-17s the objective was to be in the final and the objectives were achieved, with a score of 54-52 in a match played until the end. We are satisfied that it is the strongest category in Colombia and there were 98% of the best players in the country, because it was selective for the South American in 2022, ”said Julio Rueda, technical director of the Santander team.
