Mr. Pervan, were you actually surprised that the ÖFB team boss was still called Franco Foda at the last course of the year?
Pavao Pervan: After the media response, I expected everything, including the introduction of a new team boss. I secretly hoped that Franco Foda would get another chance to turn things around, as he did in the European Championship qualifiers and the Nations League. I would have felt a snap shot populist.
The game against Israel (4-2) should have improved Foda’s position, at least for a short time.
