No goals and four reds. I don’t understand Pilsen, but it can’t be a coincidence, says Fukal

“Slavia is in the lead again. Although her competitors helped her with her hesitation, she has a very wide quality staff and that is her strength. Pilsen did not score two matches and has four eliminated, I don’t understand that, “says Milan Fukal, a former league defender and Czech national team member, in a league commentary for Aktuálně.cz.

Slavia is again at the top of the table, but that does not mean that she will be fine for the next title. Her competitors helped her a lot. Although Slavia defeated Pilsen in a direct duel, it was an important match, but then Viktoria lost points with Olomouc mainly due to further indiscipline, Slovácko unexpectedly did not keep the lead for me in Karviná, Sparta a round earlier in Ostrava. All this helped Slavia back to the forefront.

However, it cannot be overlooked that Slavia has the greatest credit for that. She defeated Pilsen, in the second half she crossed the brave Pardubice with a game that honored her and which she wanted to continue to promote. Once again, it has become important how important it is to have a very high-quality staff. Coach Trpišovský has at least eighteen excellent football players at his disposal, he has a lot to choose from and influence the match. They take turns, they rest, the team still runs at a high pace. When I compare it with Jablonec, where coach Rada spins twelve thirteen players, it is clear what an advantage this is.

I am very surprised by what she said in Pilsen against Slavia. He’s on the ground of a big opponent in the fight for the title, I don’t expect him to wall up and just kick the balloons, for God’s sake – no! It must also show quality in advance. However, the psychological advantage is on my side, I am the first, show me what you can do. There are two strategists sitting on the bench, Michal Bílek and Pavel Horváth, I don’t understand at all what Pilsen wanted to play.

It’s no coincidence that I won’t score a goal in two matches, I have four eliminated and there could have been more. I do not understand what Filip Kaša, the national team defender, showed. We play against ten, it is assumed that we win, I get yellow and in a few minutes the second. I can’t do that, balance the field, or underestimate anything for a moment! At the same time for an unnecessary, unresolved foul in half. Absolute nonsense. I see nothing to justify him.

The exclusion of the Olomouc Hubník looks quite different, he saved a situation where, after a teammate’s mistake, the opponent could have gone to a clear chance. But I don’t even take such arguments. At the set time – maybe, but the first half was over and he had to realize that he would send the team to weakness for a long time, for the whole second half.

At the same time, the goal was not inevitable, the goalkeeper was still behind him, the striker could fail in the end. Even if the opponent leads 1: 0, there is still room to equalize.
I do everything I can’t to get red, I have some responsibility towards others. I was eliminated only once in the Czech league, in Jablonec in a well-rounded derby with Liberec, for two fouls, when it was enough. However, I did not weaken Manchaft, it did not send the boys to a disadvantage for a long time, we finally won the match.

Don’t go back into the dark

I heard that Sparta won because the owner Daniel Křetínský is worried about buying a stake in West Ham United, so he was in a match with Teplice in London, not Letná, and does not determine the line-up. I completely reject such views. Sparta has a strong sports section, director Tomáš Rosický, coach Pavel Vrba, it would be terrible if their owner intervened. Although everything is true, he might have the right to do so, but perhaps some powers apply. It was a mandatory victory for Sparta, but not an easy one.

Bohemains coach Luděk Klusáček openly complained that his team in Liberec was denied a clear penalty kick and deprived of points. I won’t judge if he was right. If the referee has not seen this, which can happen, there is a VAR from that to examine everything carefully. What do we want even more? If this doesn’t work, we go back many years and it is very bad for the judges to decide without subsequent control.

Former emphatic stopper. He won two league titles with Sparta, making a great name in the German Bundesliga, where he spent a total of six seasons – first in Hamburg, then in Borussia Mönchengladbach. The national team started 19 national matches.

I am more interested in the attitude of Luděk Klusáček. Previously, it was forbidden to comment on the referees, often the club management did not even recommend it to coaches and players not to damage the team. Such regulation and thinking would be the worst thing that Czech football could encounter, and we would go back to an even deeper time of darkness. Let everyone say how they saw the match.

The question is whether this should happen in emotions, immediately after the match. However, Luděk Klusáček has rightly gained respect throughout his playing and coaching career, he has achieved a lot, it is still the same character that will not accept injustice. He is a thoughtful man, he does not get angry, he does not jump along the line, he does not wave his hands, he does not catch anyone by the throat. His statements are always factual.

In addition, today’s technology allows him to receive enough information before appearing in front of the camera and microphone, his analysts and he himself only need to examine the incriminating situation in great detail. It’s no longer that the substitute, who is warming up behind the goal, tells me that he saw a penalty.

Karviná re-entered the quarantine, although she lost her rhythm, but the new coach Bohumil Páník had a unique opportunity to train, get to know the manchaft, prepare something. That was an advantage. But I think that Slovácko underestimated the match. It’s a pity for him, he could have kept the result and it would help him a lot before clashing at home with Sparta. She literally lost two points.

Congratulations to Milan Petržel for breaking the Standy Vlček record in the number of matches in the Czech league, they have 436 of them on the same page. I remember him as a young boy in Jablonec when he came to guest. At that time, his approach was not such as to become a role model, professional football was only yet known. But he realized what it all meant.

Now a lot of players are looking at him, whether he collects 450 matches or 520, it doesn’t matter. He managed to maintain his performance for many years, I put sports and human quality on the same level. It wouldn’t be possible without it. And I’m glad that clubs don’t crowd out such players, Hübschman, Matějovský, Rezek, Zavadil, they all have something to give to others.
