NFL: Texans don’t think they can trade Deshaun Watson before deadline

The Houston Texans expect to retain the services of quarterback Deshaun Watson after the NFL trading deadline on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Even if many in the organization would like to turn the page with the quarterback, everything indicates that the Texans will have to resolve to revive the discussions for a trade after the season.

Team general manager Nick Caserio remains convinced of Watson’s value and he doesn’t want to trade him for less than the price he covets. For some time, rumors have intensified on the side of the Miami Dolphins. Even the Carolina Panthers might have joined the race.

However, the Dolphins and certainly other teams across the NFL interested in quarterback services want to know beforehand the fate awaiting Watson, who faces 22 civil lawsuits for harassment and sexual assault.
