Zverev victory takes Sophia Thomalla emotionally
Sophia Thomalla and Alexander Zverev are Germany’s new dream couple and mutual expressions of love are almost the order of the day. The 32-year-old presenter also proves her sense of humor.
Sophia Thomalla and Alexander Zverev are in seventh heaven. After his triumph at the ATP tournament in Vienna, the tennis player received not only congratulations but also a humorous declaration of love. “Congrats my love! I couldn’t be more proud of you! I’m more exhausted than you. Must be the age …”, wrote the 32-year-old on Instagram.
The eight years younger tennis professional had previously dedicated a few words to his new girlfriend in his winner’s speech. “Sophia! Thanks for being by my side lately. I hope this won’t be the last time we will touch a trophy together. You have to put up with me on the tour for another ten years or so.” After his tournament victory in Vienna, the world number four Zverev is now playing at the tennis tournament in Paris and, after a bye in round two, has to face the world number 34. Dusan Lajovic from Serbia compete.
At the beginning of October, Sophia Thomalla confirmed her relationship with Zverev via Instagram. One photo showed her lying tightly embraced with a man on the beach – her partner’s face could not be clearly seen. “I still have an ace up my sleeve for 2021 …”, she commented on the recording and marked Zverev in the post.
Zverev recently indicated in an interview with the Austrian “Kronenzeitung” that the relationship with Thomalla is not as fresh as it seems. “Just because it has now become public doesn’t mean we haven’t been together for a long time,” said the 24-year-old. In Thomalla he seems to have found a patient partner: “Sophia is very understanding, knows what tennis means to me.”
