MLB: Mets offered four-year, $ 78 million contract to Starling Marte

Starling Marte would take charge of the Big Apple.

According to what Jon Heyman reported from MLB Network Friday evening, the 33-year-old outfielder would join the New York Mets with a four-year, $ 78 million contract.

There would only be the physical tests to complete to formalize the arrival of the one who evolved last season with the Oakland Athletics and the Miami Marlins.

In 120 games, Marte recorded 12 home runs and produced 55 points. He maintained a .310 batting average. Marte began his career playing eight campaigns in the Pittsburgh Pirates uniform. He also played for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
