On Saturday the second and final day of the II ASailor Trophy of the Snipe class was held in the bay of Arrecife, completing an event that began last month and that, due to inclement weather, saw the second day postponed ago. some weeks.

The event, sponsored by the young Lanzarote firm created during the pandemic and devised by and for the sailors, could be held without problems, with a wind of 18 knots of intensity from the north and with emotion in the fight for the podium.

Miguel Ángel Lasso and Tomás Fuentes, who topped the standings after the first day, signed two third places and one second, which were enough to maintain the highest position with 11 points in the locker.

His teammates at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, Carlos de La Hoz and Yapci Reyes, had finished second on the opening day and once again maintained second place thanks to a first and a third, which could have been even more intense in the fight for the final victory if they could have finished the first race of the day, adding a total of 18 points.

On the other hand, third of the general were Carlos Hernández and Alonso Pérez, from RCNA and CD Cero Code respectively. This couple, who did not participate in the first day, was almost perfect in this second, with two first positions and a second, unseating Alejandro Vidal and Andrés Ravelo from bronze, who were third until the dispute of this day.

A total of six pairs participated in this second day, in total coexistence and sports fun, ending the event at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife with the delivery of trophies where Julio Romero, president of the entity, and Andrea Stinga, were present. as co-founder of the ASailor brand, who excused the absence of Mariano Stinga, also a co-founder of the brand as he is currently immersed in his university studies.

Once the trophies were handed out, those present enjoyed a lunch courtesy of ASailor, which thus puts an end to the nautical events sponsored in 2021 and is already beginning to focus on the 2022 calendar, where it hopes to continue promoting this Lanzarote brand that is gradually growing in the nautical market.
