Ex-national player Mesut Özil (33) visited Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (67) again and then posed for a photo with him.
The Fenerbahce professional posted this picture of himself, Erdogan and ex-professional and TV expert Ridvan Dilmen (59) on his Instagram channel, wrote in Turkish and English: “Football Talks with our President RTE (Recep Tayyip Erdogan, d . Red.) And Ridvan Dilmen “.
In German: “Football talk with our president.”
Not the first time that Özil poses with the controversial president.
► Review: Shortly before the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Özil came under fire for a photo with Erdogan (67). He resigned from the national team after the preliminary round from the DFB-Elf. He is currently under contract with Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Erdogan was also there at Özil’s wedding with ex-Miss Turkey Amine Gülse (28) in 2019. He was even Özil’s best man.
In terms of sport, things are not going well for the ex-Arsenal star.
